I painted this from a old photo that I had but I can't remember where this was. I tried and tried but I can't remember. I just know it was somewhere in my travels from a long time ago. I DO know it was somewhere in the Midwest. Anyway, I was compelled to paint it. I like to paint pictures of wet streets and rainy days.

This is one of my first portraits in quite a while. I'm going to be making a series of portraits in different mediums. I thought I would start out with Conte and oil wash as my first one of the series. It's mostly conte and not so much oil wash, but I'm still in the experimental stage at this point.
