This is one of my latest paintings made in the month of March, 2012.
It is a small painting, painted on a gessoed Masonite panel. It can easily fit into a 5" x 7" frame.

As with most of my paintings lately, this one is painted with a glazing technique that has been used for hundreds of years. It involves several layers in different stages.
It is painted from memory and inspired by one of my many travels through the southwestern United States.
All of my paintings are varnished, painted dark on the sides and signed on the front.
