I tried to capture the river here as calm and gentle as I could. This scene is from one of my many memories of my travels around the country. I love the calm and stillness of a place like this.

I think I like the way the colors turned out in this one. The reds and greens seem to compliment each other just right. In most of my paintings there is a lot of sky space, so filling the background with a lot of trees is unusual for me.
