TIme Lapsed Video Tutorial - Drawing a Cat

This is a time-lapsed tutorial video of a cat. I will be making many more tutorial videos of different subjects.
The videos are made time-lapsed so that the videos are not too long for most video sites.

OR click the "Add to Cart" button below.

I created this painting on a Masonite panel. It is 6" x 6". It fits into any 6" x 6" frame or it is ready to hang using the tooth hanger mounted to the back of the board.
This painting was created totally from memory of one of my many travels throughout the American southwest.
It is painted in layers of glazes in several different sessions over two days.
This painting as with all of my paintings is varnished for protection and to add luster and depth.
The white area around the painting is only to show against the background.

"Moon Over the River" - 5" x 7" - Oil on Masonite - by Robert Kimball

My painting of the day.

5" x 7"
 Sold

As with most of my paintings lately, this one is painted with a glazing technique that has been used for hundreds of years. It involves several layers in different stages.
It is painted from memory and inspired by one of my many travels through the southwestern United States.
All of my paintings are varnished, painted dark on the sides and signed on the front.

Still Life - Bosc Pear - Oil on Panel - 5 in. x 7 in. - by Robert Kimball - Oil on Masonite

SOLD

This painting evolved in a better way than I had planned. I started off painting it with a medium impasto, but wiped off most of the background to make it appear more transparent. It seems to make the pear appear more prominent against the background.
Also, I used the edge of the palette knife a lot more than usual creating a different kind of texture than I usually do.
