I love Pomegranates. So much so that I had to paint a picture of one. It is an original oil painting on Masonite (hardboard). It is painted dark on the sides and varnished.

This painting is the first in a series of egg paintings I'm currently working on. I hope to make one of them every few day along with other subjects like I have been making such as landscapes, seascapes, and other still life paintings. I needed a lot more time to paint this one since it's so much more detailed than the landscapes I usually do.
