I passed by a business park today and saw these purple trees that I dont' recall ever seeing these trees here before. I saw a groundskeeper there and asked him and he said they are Rosebud trees.  Anyway, i decided to paint one and it was fun to experiment again with these colors.

This tree in the park caught my eye while I was scoping out the area looking for my next tree subject. I was attracted to the leaning characteristic of this one that made it stand out.

I couldn't help but paint this scene with this composition. It was a cloudy day which made the colors harmonize so well on this day.

A painting from my visit to the park on Saturday, March 16th. I caught this area of the park on just the right time of day with the sun high above and to the right. It seemed like it was just the right time for all the colors to harmonize perfectly.

I wanted a change of pace so I painted a still life. Even though I love painting landscapes, I really enjoyed painting this vase of roses.

This painting is from a scene on Mount Charleston. I'm not sure where exactly, but I think it's somewhere near Mary Jane Falls.
It is 5 in x 7 in. painted on a Masonite panel and varnished.

This is from my latest "Trees" series, only longer in size. It is  6" x 18". I've been wanting to paint a larger painting like this lately, with a panorama view. I painted this one with brushes and a palette knife

I'm glad to see the change of the season. I like the winter but I like the longer days to paint more often outside.
I used very little brush work in this painting using mostly the palette knife.
